Over the last couple of days, we’ve been going out of our way to talk about the symptoms that no one wants to talk about: diarrhea, constipation, and—for today’s post—vomiting.

As unpleasant as those three may be, they’re very common in our lives. Everyone experiences them, even several times a year or several times a day in certain circumstances (such as vomiting during pregnancy). And yet, we’re lucky if we know even one or two natural remedies for this terrible trio, partially due to the reticence of our friends and families.

The most commonly known natural remedy for vomiting is ginger, as you may know if you’ve ever woken up at the nurse’s office with a can of ginger ale at you side. But you can certainly (and perhaps certainly¬†should) take in the stomach-calming benefits of ginger without the added artificial ingredients of ginger ale, perhaps even in crystallized ginger form if you’d still like something sweet.

But what about something a little less conventional? Here are some ayurvedic remedies for vomiting, brought to you by Homeveda:

Do you know any other natural remedies for vomiting, be they ayurvedic or otherwise? Much as ginger will always have a special place for being that first natural remedy (for some of us, at least), you can never have too much information regarding the herbs you’re trusting your body’s healing and comfort with.
